Dryness
Dry skin, also called xeroderma has a low level of sebum and moisture and feels dry to the touch. It appears dull and feels uncomfortable. Areas such as the face, arms, hands and lower legs are prone to dry skin. The causes could be exposure to the sun, excessive hot, cold and breezy weather conditions, side effects of medications, dehydration, advancing age or underlying physiological disorders. It is important to keep dry skin well moisturized and hydrated, using emollients and creams specifically designed for this condition.
