What's the big deal with BB creams?

I'm always looking for products that multi-task, is this the great appeal of BB creams? Any advice?

They have been popular in Asia for some time and are finally catching up in the US. They're moisturizing, have SPF, and will even your face. The coverage is usually sheerer than foundation but it's easy to build and blend. I don't think the drugstore bb creams are that great and the other ones (boscia, nars, Clinique) are so pricey. Try finding an Asian boutique nearby or online (make sure the site isn't a scam) for cheaper Korean bb creams. If you search online there are lots of blogs that review them and tell you where they buy from!
