what is witch hazel?!

I've been googling somethings on home remedies for acne and they say to out witch hazel on it but the only problem is is that I don't even have any clue what that is and where I can get it and wherein much it costs! Please help me!

which hazel has anti inflammatory, and anti bacterial properties. Its going to help bring down the redness in your face and help kill off all that infection, and bacteria.

It's kind of like an alcohol rub where you put it on a cloth to get rid of mild redness on your face.
