Are certain ingredients in skin care products toxic and can they cause cancer? Are these claims real or are they exaggerated?

You can develop allergic reactions as you age. Some of it is both environmental and biological. Cancer also can be caused by certain items that we use as well... I research my questions most of the time now.

I stay away from Aluminum/ Alumina containing products, read deodorants... this metal has been linked to a higher probability of suffering from Alzheimer. Also parabens are a big No-No.

There is still no evidence that these ingredients (parabens and sodium lauryl sulfate most commonly named ones) are actually carcinogenic at least in the quantities used in skincare products, but personally I still try to stay away from them when I can
