If I have redness in the tzone, is it rosacea?

I've been told by a dermatologist it's acne, but I have no blackheads/whiteheads and have redness that won't go away

Does anyone in your family suffer from it? Does this area feel hot and flare up in heat? Topical Vit A products are good, as well as any anti-inflammatory products.
