dark spot corrector

I have gotten rid of most of my acne, but now I need to get rid of the scars and darks spots! I've been looking around at dark spot correctors and they're all super expensive. Does anyone have a product suggestion that is relatively cheap for scars and dark marks?!

The Garnier and Olay ones are good drug store brands. Not expensive!
