acne and acne scars

I have moderate acne with fair oily skin. I mostly get pimples on my cheeks,and I also have some scars. Any tips how to get rid of these?

I reccomend cutting down on the make-up and letting your skin breathe! If you are desperate for make-up try using natural products as they are gentle on the skin! Dont scrub away at the acne! That will irriate it more! Keep consistent with your cleansing!!! Goodluck

What kind of make up are you using? Some makeups, like MAC have animal fat in them and suffocate the skin, causing pimples, especially on the cheek area. Also, make sure you are exfoliating at least 2x per week with a scrub or enzyme mask. In between scrub with a washcloth when you wash your face at night.

If your acne scars dark, you can use lemon juice to lighten them. Cleanse your face with lemon juice. Dab one teaspoon of lemon juice into a cotton ball and smooth it over the acne marks. Leave for ten minutes, then rinse. Use caution with lemon juice because it can make your skin photosensitive. So be certain to use a sunscreen on any area you treat with lemon juice prior to going out into the sun.A diet low in zinc can actually cause acne breakouts.
